Clippers win 106-78 in romp of Lakers

The Clippers beat the Lakers on Sunday using a strong defence to go along with their excellent play-making and shooting en-route to a blow-out 106-78 victory.
Chris Paul led the way at the Staples Centre with his fantastic play making and control of the game opening countless opportunities up for his team-mates with his pinpoint passing, he finished with 15 assists to only 1 turnover in the victory to go with his 7 points. It was clear from the get-to that Paul had such a strong control of the game he was going to let his team-mates do all of the scoring while he dimed and dished his way to victory.
Lob city was in full effect throughout the game as Deandre dunked his way to 16 points and 11 rebounds while Blake added 18 points.
Scoring wise, Lakers came out below the Clippers in every quarter largely in part due to the 12 points from J.J. Redick and the 14 points Matt Barnes chipped in. The Clipper bench also joined in on the parade with Austin Rivers and Hedo Turkoglu adding 12 and 10 points respectively.
The clippers' defence stood out from start to finish with CP3 playing great on Jordan Clarkson who was held to just 2 points and 3 assists and the team defence as a whole was great, evident from a clips holding their home town rivals to 78 points in the game. It seems the Clippers are peaking and playing basketball at the right time as the playoffs edge closer with every game and the clippers will need all the wins they can get in the western conference bloodbath for playoff seeding.
The Clippers will face off against the Lakers again on Tuesday, a particularly notable game since Doc has indicated Jamal Crawford may be expected to play in the game after being sidelined since March 2nd with a calf injury. He is an important part of the Clippers' Championship  aspirations so his return is a good for the team heading into the homestretch of the regular season.
