Recap: LA Lakers vs LA Clippers

LA rivals the Clippers and Lakers faced off for a second time this week against each other at their shared home of the Staples Centre with the Clippers having the crowd support. This time round the match up proved to be more testing for the Clips as the Lakers came much more ready to play than in their previous meeting.

Blake Griffin and J.J. Redick led the Clippers in scoring with both adding 27 points a piece in the 105-100 Clipper victory. Chris Paul supplied 19 points with 10 assists, and DeAndre Jordan ripped 17 rebounds for the Clippers, who have won four straight and 11 of their last 12.

Since this is a critical time for the Clips as they fight for the best seeding possible late season wins like this couldn't come at a better time. "we want to play better than we did but they hit shots, give them credit" Blake Griffin said to reporters after the game. This time round the Clippers defence was less effective in shutting down the Lakers' leading scorer Jordan Clarkson who went for 20 points and 6 assists but they will take the win as they prepare for a key match-up against Memphis on Sunday.
